First, let me start by saying I am PUMPED about this.
It has been a heck of a season business-wise. In a really good way though. I set and reached a lot of goals I made for myself this year, and also booked a couple things I didn’t even think would happen yet. Including booking a completely out of state wedding (and not in Georgia or Colorado, both of which I frequent) and having a couple straight up vacation to Kentucky just to shoot with me!
In a simple statement: I love the crap out of my couples. And it is beyond satisfying to see how fruitful hard work can be. Every aspect of my website, business, branding, social media, etc. is executed very intentionally. My hope is that as people browse my work or read my captions, they get to know me a little bit better each time…resulting in couples who appreciate me for me. They’re not looking for a deal or emailing 11 other wedding photographers, but they click send on my submission form and are eager for my reply.
I think a lot of people in the hustle and bustle of wedding planning overlook the vital importance of forming a solid relationship with their photographers. Finding one who gets you excited, whose images stop you mid-scroll, who cares about how you got engaged or what your dogs’ names are. Because it’s a two way street! If your photographer knows you and becomes your friend, oh my goodness how much better work you’re going to see! It harvests, creativity, inspiration, and straight up love. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true.
SO the whole point of this giveaway. The (probable) reason why you’re reading. As of right now, I book mostly larger weddings lasting around eight hours and involving upwards of 150 people. And they are great! So much fun and so much going on. But what I really want to get into and specialize in are elopements and intimate weddings. Fewer people so I am able to capture way more moments. Maybe spend the whole wedding day (or weekend) with you and your tribe to capture the good, nitty-gritty stuff. My education is in photojournalism, so combining a documentary approach with people in love pretty much makes me do a happy dance.
The honest reason why this is a giveaway? I have never shot a straight up elopement with only a handful of people before. It’s both a dream and a goal, and I’m totally down to do one for free while I’m in California next year. No strings attached or hidden costs.
Here are the (few) requirements to be eligible for the giveaway:
- you’re eloping in 2019
- it’s near Big Sur, California
- there will be less than 20 people in attendance
- you’ve checked out my site and genuinely think we’d be a good fit
That’s it. I cover my expenses and cover your day as if it weren’t a giveaway. Sound like something you or your friend might be into? Email me and let’s go on an adventure together!
